Five entertaining, extremely informative, and therefore intensive days. Top-notch trainers. Be sure to keep the English training materials. Suggestions for improvement: - Make the training materials (workbook and practice exercises) available to participants 4 weeks IN ADVANCE - Color-coded practice exercises—especially important in the SVS model for readability - Alternatively, make the color PDF versions of the workbook and practice exercises available 4 weeks in advance so that participants can choose to print them in color beforehand - Require at least 2 participants even for guaranteed sessions, as discussion during the development of the charts in the workbook and the sample exam questions is a key component of the training - Go over exam questions during the course as part of preparation - Workbook -- Include references in the workbook to the sections of the original ITIL book / Practitioner Guidance -- Workbook Glossary of Terms: alphabetical, possibly with page references -- Workbook: Make the “How to Use this Workbook” section generally applicable and place it immediately after “About SERVIEW” -- Workbook: In “How to Use this Workbook,” “Sample Questions” can be removed, as it is no longer used -- Workbook: Place “Provide Feedback” immediately after “How to Use This Workbook” -- Workbook: Move “Keep in Contact” to the back cover instead of a separate page at the end of the workbook -- Workbook: Ensure consistency in titles and the progress bar -- Workbook: Use headings only once (do not repeat them on the even-numbered page) -- Workbook: Consider using an additional level of heading structure instead of headings in all capital letters -- Workbook: Make better use of page space, especially at the top, to avoid page breaks and consequently nearly blank pages - Practices: Add a table of contents and, if necessary, a progress barExcellent session, very knowledgeable instructor September 4, 2020

The training was excellent, and Björn was a truly great instructor—it never got boring or “dry,” and he always backed up the theory with clear examples. I also really appreciated his broad knowledge of other topics that were touched upon in the context of the course material and questions... very professional—thank you very much! In terms of content, it provided a good overview of the topic and also did an excellent job of addressing the parallels and intersections with other practices and methods (ITIL, Scrum, …) The training materials were very good and comprehensive; however, I would have preferred them as color prints—graphics and images simply don’t come out as well or with the same level of detail in grayscale.Great coach—I learned a lot April 25, 2018

The ITIL Practitioner is a complex training course on the application of methods and skills in the implementation of IT service management measures, projects, processes... Our trainer was able to convey this material very competently, clearly, and engagingly, drawing on many real-world examples... At no point did boredom set in (despite the material being a bit “dry” in places). The seminar facilities are perfect and very pleasant—only the quality of the lunch food doesn’t quite match the rest of the setup and the high standards of the service… Overall, however, this is a professional training provider that I can recommend.

Another excellent training session—I learned a lot of new things despite having been involved with ITIL (more or less) intensively for 10 years now. A great trainer (as you’d expect from B. Hinrichs), who not only covered the material but also shared plenty of practical examples and made it fun; the atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside is the exam: even though I haven’t taken it yet, the practice exam gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect. But for me, this has nothing to do with the training and falls under a different area of responsibility.

By Samuel Schneider-Wangenberg
(Krones AG)
I already knew that the training courses at Serview are great. I’d taken my ITIL v2 and Service Manager courses there. Now, after more than 7 years, I wanted to refresh my knowledge and decided to take the Compact course. Great decision. First, three days of ITIL Foundation—the theory—and then the new Practitioner course. And that one really packed a punch. It was so much fun to finally learn how ITIL can and should be implemented in a company. Aside from the exam, which I found too difficult but still manageable, it was an all-around successful seminar with two experienced trainers. Many thanks and best regards to Björn Hinrichs.

By Marko Dekoj
(Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland GmbH)
All in all, a very successful and pedagogically sound approach to imparting knowledge. The trainer, Björn Hinrichs, is beyond reproach. The topics are very complex, and it takes a little time to get used to the teaching approach. Combined with the extremely pleasant conditions and amenities on-site, you can focus intensely on these topics and on learning. Personally, I’m convinced that it’s nearly impossible to convey more high-quality knowledge in the same amount of time. I’d go back anytime, and I highly recommend it.

Serview has repeatedly proven to me that you are an excellent and professional training provider. The Serview trainers do an excellent job of making the (sometimes quite complex) material easy to understand (without overwhelming us with PowerPoint slides), illustrating it with many fictional and real-life examples (keyword: Pizzeria Giovanni), all delivered in a pleasantly relaxed manner. Last but not least, the exam preparation is also very effective. All in all, a unique selling point.

Instructors Markus Bause and Björn Hinrichs perfectly mastered the fine line between optimal exam preparation and the transfer of practical knowledge! Discussions and questions from participants were always welcome and were answered very clearly—and, above all, with many practical examples drawn from and tailored to real-world scenarios. The entire environment in Bad Homburg (boarding house, meals, staff, and service) supported the training and rounded out the positive experience. In summary: An excellent training program in a great setting! I’m already looking forward to more training sessions at Serview :-)

Overall, I was very satisfied with the Apollo 13 workshop (WS). April 16, 2015
By Sebastian Stindl
(Hermes Europe GmbH)
What I didn't know beforehand was that this workshop requires at least 9 people for a meaningful simulation. The document I received in advance for planning and conducting the workshop stated that it was designed for a maximum of 12 people. However, Mr. Hinrichs then brought this up with me again and explained that at least 9 people are needed for a meaningful simulation of these workshops, and that there had already been groups with, for example, 14 people present. Unfortunately, there were only 7 of us, so we had to split 4 roles between two people. As a result, the workload was unfortunately too heavy for those two individuals. Although we were able to alleviate this internally by delegating tasks, it was still noticeable. Otherwise, I found the experience very pleasant, and I believe that, given our circumstances and with the help of Mr. Hinrichs and Mr. Lausch, we managed it quite well.

ITIL works outside of IT, and the first session of this training was top-notch. No PowerPoint—just hands-on work with the workbook. The trainer did a perfect job of translating ITIL into the non-IT world, and even the official exam—which included a bit of IT in the questions—was easy to tackle. I think SERVIEW’s initiative to bring ITIL concepts to the “wider world” is brilliant. The training is ideally suited for this purpose. Thank you for letting me be part of this first “moon landing.” P.S. Just fix the 2.3 typos in the excellent course materials, and then I’ll give it 6 stars.

A great team of trainers shared knowledge, insights, and ideas with me that I now need to put into practice in my daily life. I particularly appreciated the practical focus and the many examples drawn from the trainers’ own experiences. As a suggestion for future content, I would like to see a discussion of gender-specific leadership styles and challenges. There are definitely differences there—as long as it doesn’t go beyond the time frame of the event. As always at a Serview event, I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The interaction with the other participants is a huge help to me. That’s also what makes the event so valuable to me. I’d love to come back.

ITIL Expert Dual-Module Training - In short: very satisfied February 9, 2015

Hello, I found the ITIL Expert dual-module training to be very satisfying, even though there was quite a lot of material to cover in just one week. The instructor delivered this material competently and professionally, enriching it with humor and real-world business examples. It was interesting and created a great atmosphere. The reference guide and workbook were helpful for preparation and follow-up after each day’s training. The location and catering were excellent. The group size of about 10 people was just right. The staff was helpful and friendly. In short: I’m very satisfied and would gladly come back.

Through primarily Serview training courses, I have now achieved the ITIL Expert level. The knowledgeable trainers, who conveyed the material competently and with enthusiasm, were particularly helpful. Especially for the final MALC course, intensive guidance from a skilled trainer is essential to properly prepare for the challenging exam. Five stars for this!Professional training without an endless barrage of PowerPoint slides November 17, 2014

The ITIL OSA training was conducted very professionally. At no point did it feel like the instructor was simply reciting theoretical knowledge. The custom-designed flip charts were very informative, covered the most important ITIL topics, and were also a great learning aid. Practical applications with supporting examples rounded out the content. Cold drinks, a wide variety of specialty coffees, and a hearty lunch provided the necessary refreshment between training sessions. I can wholeheartedly recommend this training. My special thanks go to Mr. Hinrichs for conducting the training and to the colleagues in the office for ensuring everything ran smoothly.A great but exhausting week in Munich November 4, 2014

Both Björn Hinrichs and Markus Bause knew how to present what is essentially a dry subject in an interesting and vivid way. The many examples drawn from the trainers’ wealth of real-world experience were especially great! In my opinion, an online course can’t quite replace in-person training, but the concerns I had before it started (regarding the online format) were largely put to rest. My conclusion: I’d do it again in a heartbeat! :) Many thanks, Frank Borowski (Lead Problem Manager at T-Systems)Excellent balance between theory and practice October 1, 2014

Mr. Hinrichs was able to tie the theory he was teaching to real-world examples, which made for a very effective presentation of the material. He addressed questions and also took the time to answer any follow-up inquiries and provide further explanations. His approach of involving participants through real-world experiences was also very effective and helped the participants build connections with one another and interact more openly. In my opinion, the food and general accommodations left nothing to be desired, and the pleasant atmosphere—shaped by Mr. Hinrichs’s personality and manner—made the experience even better. I would gladly take another training course with Mr. Hinrichs, but unfortunately, you can’t always choose.Excellent workshop September 11, 2014

By Harald Sellenscheidt (Verizon Deutschland GmbH)
The seminar was very intensive and packed with content given the time allotted. I really liked the approach of using a workbook instead of PowerPoint slides or the trainer’s lectures, and it helped me retain the extensive material. The trainer, Mr. Hinrichs, really knew his stuff! One very minor criticism: in my opinion, the difficulty level of the preparatory questions didn’t quite match that of the exam questions. However, since all participants passed, this no longer matters in hindsight. I’d gladly do it again!Practical, expert, and very clear and engaging instruction July 9, 2014

The concept—with the workbook and the virtual classroom—really works well, and the trainer was a true professional. Truly brilliant. Thank you, SERVIEW.A completely pleasant surprise March 30, 2014

This course demonstrated how to make a topic that is inherently dry and highly theoretical interesting, thereby keeping participants engaged and effectively conveying the material. Rarely have I experienced a course that stuck so precisely to the schedule without ever falling behind or getting ahead—neither of which would have required any correction. The whole thing was carried by an outstanding facilitator who left absolutely no room for any gaps. He was completely confident on every topic and at every moment throughout the course. And there was plenty of laughter, too!Great performance January 23, 2014

Mr. Hinrichs did a fantastic job of presenting the material, striking a perfect balance between humor and analogies that really brought the topics to life. It was truly excellent; the effectiveness of his teaching is evident in the results achieved by the examinees and their pass rate. Thank you once again to Mr. Hinrichs.Entertaining and Professional January 16, 2014

"Engaging and professional" sums it up perfectly. The trainer has fully mastered the material, knows in advance where questions will arise, and was able to answer them directly and precisely. There were never any uncertainties. In addition, he presented the content in an engaging way using humorous yet professional examples and was able to inspire enthusiasm for the subject matter. This was also evident in our group’s results. :) Respect and many thanks!A very interesting and well-structured ITIL v3 Foundation seminar December 16, 2013

In summary, it can be said that the workshop was very well structured and the topic was presented by a highly motivated trainer in a clear and concise manner. I really appreciated the workbook-based learning style, the daily morning reviews of previously covered topics, the group discussions, and the sample test questions. Throughout the workshop, the trainer focused on presenting the material to the group in an easy-to-understand way, always keeping the goal of passing the exam in mind. Thank you very much for this great workshop, and I’m sure it won’t be my last seminar with Serview!ITIL Foundation December 5, 2013

The trainer succeeded in teaching a great deal of theoretical knowledge—which is usually difficult to convey—in a very vivid and engaging way. In a relaxed atmosphere, the trainer encouraged participants to get involved by using a flip chart. The trainer’s many real-world examples and in-depth knowledge of the course material gave me confidence even during the seminar that I would be able to pass the subsequent exam without any major problems.Very good! Based on word of mouth and the reviews here, my expectations were already pretty high—but they were still exceeded! The boarding house and training center in Frankfurt are run in a highly professional yet laid-back manner. There are plenty of distractions (foosball, pinball, PlayStation, Segways, refrigerators...) to clear your head, but you can also study in peace. The material is very comprehensive, but it’s presented perfectly with plenty of practical references and catchy examples. The workbook method and the strong emphasis on self-motivation take care of the rest. Highly recommended!Life Can Be a Walk in the Park After All June 10, 2013

These intensive seminars demonstrate how professional development can be both fun and successful. After PRINCE2, this is my second seminar in this format. A training course—no matter how intensive—is simply a pleasure within the right setting. A top-notch seminar location, a great group of participants, a fantastic seminar, and impeccable trainers. Hi everyone, We had a short training session. The atmosphere was great the whole time. We discussed the material in depth without losing our train of thought. It was a successful session, and we can put what we learned to use right away. Service Transition also describes what an IT service should be like. When you’re in a training session with Mr. Hinrichs, it’s very easy to forget that the topics aren’t always straightforward. With his interactive, expert approach and all sorts of examples from life—which might not be quite so ordinary—the whole experience turned out to be truly great, and it can definitely help the company move forward! The perfect blend of practical relevance and exam preparation May 2, 2013
By Linus Linder (BorgWarner)
With its exam materials and training structure, SERVIEW aims to achieve two goals: * First, it is important for you to see and understand the practical application of ITIL within your specific company. All topics are illustrated with examples and, depending on your interest, can also be tailored to your specific needs. * Second, exam-relevant content is highlighted, ensuring you are fully prepared for the exam after the training. The training methodology differs from traditional lectures and encourages active participation. This helps the content stick better in your memory. Combined with the learner-friendly environment and great atmosphere in Bad Homburg, I was not only able to build extensive ITIL knowledge but also pass the exam.Everything was great. The trainer, Mr. Hinrichs, did an excellent job of explaining this very dry topic. The examples he used reinforced the material and will help me retain the knowledge and pass it on to other colleagues. The decision not to use PowerPoint presentations was excellent and made it more enjoyable to follow the trainer. The use of a workbook reinforces the material covered and makes it possible to quickly and concisely look up key points without having to consult a bulky textbook. I highly recommend this course.ITIL Foundation Training in Magdeburg (April 15–17, 2013) April 18, 2013

The ITIL v3 Foundation training course is the best course I’ve taken so far. This was mainly thanks to Mr. Hinrichs, who seems to have been born for this profession. He explained the material in an easy-to-understand way using simple examples. As a result, the rather extensive material was quick to learn and understand. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Hinrichs once again. Best regards, Werner HeinsA very good training session April 11, 2013
By Antje Kohn (Asklepios Clinics)
At three days, the training is too short to cover all the material. There’s hardly any time to discuss topics with colleagues or perhaps share experiences. There’s also not enough time for in-depth discussions about the training content. Mr. Hinrichs is a great trainer who does a wonderful job of presenting topics and content—which tend to be dry and abstract—in a vivid and humorous way. The many examples and scenarios drawn from his professional experience round out the picture and help the participants somehow retain the vast amount of training material. Thank you very much for the successful training session! Best regards Antje KohnGreat training, excellent instructors, and excellent facilities April 11, 2013

The ITIL Foundation training course offered by Serview in Bad Homburg comes highly recommended. Great instructors (though we actually had two—our instructor had to leave on the last day for an emergency call at a client’s site). Both were excellent, though, and the course continued seamlessly. You receive thorough training first, and then are prepared for the exam toward the end. The training environment is also great—in terms of organization, break times, meals, Wi-Fi access, etc. However, there’s a lack of parking spaces! I took the 3-day option, which I’d also recommend. Trying to cram the whole thing into 2 days is probably too intense and doesn’t allow for enough retention. Great training—5 starsA Pleasant Training Session... April 3, 2013

When I decided on Serview, it wasn’t because I had any particular expectations compared to other providers. The course was simply close to where I live and at a convenient time. And the reviews for Serview were good. On top of that, the course was offered in English. Other than that, my mindset was: a course is just a course. I was then very pleasantly surprised by the philosophy that training should also be fun, and that PowerPoint presentations are nowhere near as effective as the Serview Workbook. Philosophy is one thing, though. Practice is something else entirely. But at Serview, they truly live up to that philosophy. The course is fun; the trainer enjoys his work and is also very experienced—not only in training but also in implementing ITIL in practice. Add to that great catering, and the whole package is simply perfect. Really great. Next time, my decision will be a quick one in favor of Serview. Because now I know I can expect more than from other providers—since not all courses are created equal.ITIL: Concise and Clear March 25, 2013
By Wolfram Eulberg (Douglas Informatik & Service GmbH)
The ITIL Foundation course is well-structured in terms of the weighting and order of the topics and is tailored to the subsequent exam. The number of new and, in some cases, similar-sounding technical terms is immense, but the extensive material was nevertheless presented very clearly, supported by many examples, and the lecture—despite the sometimes dry technical content—was engaging enough to keep attention levels high. The instructor had a great deal of experience with ITIL implementation, which he drew upon frequently. I personally think it was great that, instead of a PowerPoint slideshow, the course content was presented using flipcharts that participants had to fill out and then transfer into the analog workbook.Concise, informative, interesting, and easy to understand March 25, 2013

General Impressions: A very pleasant atmosphere with everything you’d expect. In addition, the group size was ideal for fostering meaningful discussion and ensuring optimal learning outcomes. Trainer: Very knowledgeable and, through plenty of real-world examples and humor, managed to keep the group engaged all day long. Time management wasn’t always optimal, though this can also be attributed to the volume of training content. Content/Training Materials: Some chapters that consist of only one slide should be removed. I believe it is more important to highlight and explain the core components of the lifecycle. It would be very helpful if the pages in the workbook were numbered and also included a reference to the Reference Book or the textbook. Furthermore, I suggest providing a link to the “Big Picture” upon completion of each learning chapter (e.g., Service Design Coordination). This way, participants always have a link to the big picture. Exam Preparation When preparing for the exam, I personally would find a summary based on the “Big Picture” mentioned earlier helpful. For example, we could use a Metaplan wall here to reflect on the key content together as a group.Excellent Training February 4, 2013

Three days are too short for this amount of material, which isn’t easy to understand. Since the exam questions aren’t just about terminology, students must also understand complex concepts. The instructor himself did a very good job. He spoke extemporaneously and made no mistakes. The course materials were also very well organized, making it easy to follow the lessons closely. If the training had lasted 5 days, I would have given it 5 stars. As it is, I’m giving it only 4. Best regards, Stefan GerkeVery satisfied December 10, 2012

Great instructor, fantastic location, interesting real-world topics. Just like with my Foundation course, I noticed here as well that the instructor’s first-rate focus on practical application, in my opinion, comes at the expense of exam preparation. The training was very thorough and interesting. I especially liked the approach using the workbook and the clear graphics. This made the material very thorough and easy to understand. The only downside was how the material was organized. Personally, I would have preferred it if we had covered certain topics (especially at the beginning of the training) a bit more quickly so that we wouldn’t have had to learn so much new material on the last day. In my opinion, some relatively simple concepts were explained in too much detail and repeated too many times.Concise knowledge transfer with many practical examples September 20, 2012
By Thomas Caspar (Wincor Nixdorf)
The training gave me a good overview of the ITIL framework and effectively taught me the knowledge needed for the exam. The instructor illustrated the material well with examples and always allowed plenty of time for questions and clarifications. This enabled me to apply what I learned to my own practical experience. It was important for me to set aside enough time for review in the evenings. In my opinion, it would be desirable to also work through the material on my own or reinforce it through exercises. However, that would certainly go beyond the scope of the 3-day course.ITIL® Foundation, 3 days September 19, 2012

As always, the seminar was of high quality in terms of both content and delivery. In addition to preparing for the upcoming exam, I believe it is important that the material be presented in a way that allows participants to apply it to their work. Both of these aspects were handled very well: The content was consistently supported by examples, discussions, and the sharing of experiences, thereby reinforcing it in such a way that participants could translate abstract concepts into something tangible and thus take something away from the seminar. At the same time, the admittedly very extensive content was repeatedly summarized in a way that made the key points relevant to the exam clear. The exam preparation, in particular, was very well done. It helped me a great deal with this exam. In addition to the content itself and the teaching methods, I would also like to take this opportunity to once again praise the organization and dedication of ALL Serview staff members. Everything really runs smoothly, conveniently, simply, and in a friendly manner. This creates a very positive learning atmosphere. All of this ALSO contributes significantly to the successful progress and completion of the seminar.comprehensive and featuring concrete real-world examples 16.09.2012

Mr. Hinrichs presented the rather dry course material in a very engaging way, using concrete, practical examples. The food provided on-site was once again very good. I have comments or suggestions regarding only two topics: 1) Group work: First of all, the number of group work sessions was appropriate for the course. However, I would prefer somewhat “more challenging” tasks—that is, not just reading through a few chapters together, writing them up, and then presenting them to the participants, but rather collaboratively developing creative outcomes (e.g., a business case for a specific case study). In my view, the main advantage would be that we’d end up with something tangible that could potentially be applied directly in our day-to-day business. For example, the group could brainstorm ideas about the content, perhaps create a sort of “management presentation” (on the flip chart), and then discuss together which points might still need to be considered, which ones don’t, and so on. 2) Course Materials: Serview’s course materials are generally very good and contain everything necessary for the course and for subsequently applying the ITIL knowledge learned. However, I noticed in one or two places that a color illustration of the flipchart in the workbook would have been very helpful—especially when colors are used to distinguish specific topics or areas of responsibility. I realize, of course, that color printing is significantly more expensive, but perhaps it would be sufficient to print only individual pages in color—or to distinguish between topics using different line styles (bold, double, dashed, etc.). Otherwise, specifically for this training, two charts were missing from the workbook, which is, of course, just a minor “flaw,” but for the sake of completeness, I wanted to mention it. But as I said, overall I was very satisfied and would definitely take a course like this again. Please understand my suggestions as just that—and not as criticism of the course.Excellent! I thought the seminar was excellent. I already knew Mr. Hinrichs from the project he’s overseeing at our company, and I was very pleased that he was our trainer. The seminar was informative without being too dry. A few jokes here and there helped lighten the mood. Since there were only four of us in the seminar, we had a good learning environment to begin with. In conclusion, we all finished with respectable scores, which speaks to the high quality of the course. The only downside was that there were so few hotel rooms available.Very good and professional September 16, 2012

The training was very well and professionally organized and conducted. (As expected) I particularly liked the inclusion of the workbook among the training materials. I also noticed—and appreciated—the absence of a pile of Serview advertisements on the table, which I’d usually expect at in-house training sessions. Otherwise, the refreshments were once again excellent. It’s just a shame that there wasn’t a room left for me at the boarding house. But maybe next time. Many thanks to Björn and the entire team, both in front of the scenes and behind the scenes. It was great again September 16, 2012

I thought the seminar was excellent once again. This was my third time with Serview and my second time with Björn Hinrichs—it was great again. Björn has a very good and friendly way of conveying the material clearly and keeping the seminar engaging. The handouts and materials provided were very well coordinated and easy to use. There was a lot of material to cover in a short amount of time, but it was manageable with Björn Hinrichs. The exam was challenging and, for me, particularly special because it was in English. But everything went well again this time, and I drove home yesterday feeling very happy. I’ll be back. Just the RCV and the Lifecycle course left, and then I’ll be an Expert. I’ll be taking both at Serview. I’d be especially happy if Björn Hinrichs could be one of the trainers again.I was very pleasantly surprised September 16, 2012

I had some reservations beforehand because of the long training hours and the fact that some of the material was a bit dry. I have to say that, thanks to the trainers, I was proven wrong. They presented the material very well and illustrated it with many tangible, practical examples. I was very pleasantly surprised. All my concerns were unfounded. I’d like to once again express my praise and gratitude to the trainers, Björn Hinrichs and Heiko Diekelmann.Once again—very satisfied September 16, 2012

I was—once again—very satisfied with the course! Our instructor, Mr. Hinrichs, knows how to present the material in a clear and engaging way. He willingly addresses participants’ questions, ensuring that any ambiguities are cleared up. In some cases, genuine discussions arose (e.g., regarding the tension between theory and practice), which I believe were very valuable for us as service managers. As for the course itself, I don’t really see any immediate room for improvement. However, expanding the range of practice exams would be helpful for exam preparation. I’ve come to realize that selecting the correct answer is a skill that must be practiced separately—in other words, even if one had memorized all the PowerPoint slides, that would be no guarantee of passing the exam. During the exam, I always found it challenging to memorize the texts in order to compare them, as well as to identify the relevant points that matter. This ability to recognize relevant points should also be practiced, as it serves as the bridge between theory and practice. It would therefore be helpful if Serview could provide even more practice material, especially with regard to the Expert exam, where the entire subject matter must be covered.very comprehensive September 13, 2012

I’d be happy to provide feedback on the ITIL Strategy and Design course. 1. The course materials were very comprehensive and certainly sufficient for preparation. 2. The way the material was presented was appropriate for the scope of the subject matter. 3. The handout materials should have been numbered so I could quickly locate specific pages. Furthermore, it would be helpful to mark the pages in the note-taking handout with the corresponding reference pages from the course materials so that specific topics can be explored in greater depth. 4. The preparation for the exam was very good. 5. The training location in Bad Homburg was very pleasant, with recreational activities (board games, foosball table, etc.) and good food.Impressed by the training sessions September 13, 2012

I’m still very impressed with the training sessions and can give them a positive review. In terms of content, there’s really nothing to complain about—and Jens, in particular, deserves a big round of applause! This was the fourth time I’ve been lucky enough to be part of a relatively homogeneous group of participants; I can imagine that sometimes there are a few troublemakers who end up dragging the whole team down. I thought our team was really great! You also do a fantastic job of conveying the service mindset to the customer—especially making sure they realize they’re being treated well. Any minor issues that came up during my training sessions were resolved quickly and without red tape.Real-World Insights September 12, 2012
By Martin Bendig (-)
What impressed me most about Mr. Hinrichs—aside from his brilliant presentation—was his sense of humor and his great flexibility, as well as the fact that, as a trainer himself, he truly has practical insights. There are quite a few other trainers where you can tell right away that they’ve just memorized a book for the seminar beforehand. These events are usually a waste of time, since you’ve typically already familiarized yourself with the topic in some way before it even starts. You can tell best by how you feel—when you have the urge to fall asleep, or when hardly any of the participants’ questions can be answered satisfactorily. At yesterday’s event, the opposite was true. I myself once studied presentation and public speaking techniques—but above all, teaching techniques—as part of my NLP Master training, applied them in seminars, and would simply say: Mr. Hinrichs managed to establish rapport with the group immediately and steer the event in the direction he intended. Thanks to the metaphors he used (Giovanni’s Pizzeria), he did an excellent job of presenting the material in a way that’s easy for the brain to process. When questions came up, he didn’t let himself be sidetracked from his main thread but instead integrated them well into the overall flow. I think that by the end of the event, every participant had a good understanding of what ITIL is. Another definite advantage was that there were no complete IT beginners in our group. The presentation materials are well-designed, with plenty of graphics to support visual thinking. I also really appreciated the absence of a projector!!! That’s exactly how I would do it—I find anything other than paper or a whiteboard tiring in the long run. I’ll take it upon myself to prepare the flip charts with fill-in-the-blank exercises as a personal tip.Doing Without PowerPoint September 12, 2012
By Norbert Nitschke (-)
I had expected a seminar with dry, theoretical content. And even though I had made an effort to participate myself, the ITIL V3 Foundation training was still more of a mandatory event on my agenda. Mr. Hinrichs’s course turned what I expected to be a “mandatory” event into a “voluntary” one: By foregoing PowerPoint presentations and conveying the material using vivid images and very well-prepared flip charts, he helped me understand the subject of service management much better than I could have imagined beforehand; it sparked my interest. For this, I would like to formally express my personal thanks to Mr. Hinrichs!...a real highlight September 12, 2012

Thank you so much for these two extremely positive, well-organized, and successful seminars. Since I knew even before the seminar that the scope of the training and exams would be very broad, I was naturally extremely curious to see if and how it would all work out. Since we had a total of three exams to take yesterday and today, my dopamine levels are still slightly elevated (according to Wikipedia, dopamine is an intermediate product [“happiness hormone”] in the biosynthesis of adrenaline ;-) Key points of my ‘Service Evaluation’: In Expert Inventiv Block 1, we were treated to first-class hospitality by a SERVIEW-certified partner (Der Öschberghof) in a very pleasant setting. The ServiewTeam in Bad Homburg, with its attentiveness and warmth, orchestrated and executed the exam preparation very thoughtfully and professionally. The seminar participants, together with the trainers, became a true success team (fit for use, fit for purpose, and fit for examination). • Supported by a very well-thought-out seminar concept, we were able to “focus” on just a few workbook pages instead of 1,142 core pages. Björn and Marcus, with their keen sense of timing, quality, resilience, priorities, and enthusiasm, reliably guided us toward our goal. Variety, fun while learning, and a wealth of practical examples made the seminar a true highlight for me personally. SERVIEW (specifically ALL services and service assets) demonstrated to me, through practical examples, the achievable factors for enthusiasm (see Kano Model) of an ITIL seminar—live and in full color. Thank you to SERVIEW. Thank you to the helpers who are mostly unseen but always “felt.” A very special thank you to Björn Hinrichs and Marcus Wagner, because only such dedicated trainers can generate true enthusiasm.
