The seminar with Marcus was very beneficial to me. It covered ITIL v2.5 in practice, plus our company’s transition to v4 in 28 hours. Of course, that’s not how it actually works, but it provided a reality check with many insights into various projects we’ve worked on and plenty of best practices from an inspiring trainer. I enjoy coming to Serview, though unfortunately I don’t get to do so nearly often enough.

I recently had the pleasure of attending an in-person ITIL 4 training course, which proved to be exceptionally valuable. The trainer who led the course undoubtedly deserves the highest praise and recognition for his outstanding performance. First and foremost, the trainer was clearly an expert in the field of ITIL 4. His in-depth knowledge and deep understanding of the subject matter were evident. He was not only able to convey the theoretical concepts but also to draw on practical examples and experiences from his own professional career. This made the learning process extremely vivid and easy to understand. It was particularly impressive how the trainer was able to answer questions from the audience directly and without hesitation. It was clear that he possessed extensive experience and broad knowledge without having to rely on reference materials or notes. This ability contributed significantly to making the training dynamic and interactive. It was encouraging to see how he encouraged participants to ask questions and actively engage in the learning process. Furthermore, the structure and flow of the training were very well thought out. The trainer ensured that all relevant topics were covered in detail while still maintaining a pace that allowed all participants to keep up. The materials and presentations were clear and well-designed, which made it easier to absorb the information. Overall, this in-person ITIL 4 training course was a real success, and we owe that primarily to the outstanding trainer. His professional expertise, his ability to motivate the audience, and his commitment to ITIL 4 made the training an extremely valuable experience. The training materials not only effectively condensed the information from the original books but also fully covered the syllabus. The training was never boring, and there was plenty of time for questions and discussions. Rarely have I attended a training course that was as consistently interesting over three days as this one. The breaks were ample, and time management was excellent. The trainer was well-versed in the material and was also able to provide valuable insights into areas outside of ITIL. In addition to learning the material needed for the exam, I also received suggestions that I can apply to my daily work.

The trainer handled the challenges (new content / abundance of basic information) in a likable way; however, due to the sheer volume of material, there was little opportunity for in-depth discussion or dialogue, making it challenging for remote participants to follow the abundance of dry material (especially since the slides were in English) closely. Conclusion: I am glad and grateful to have received this knowledge so early on and to have been given the course materials. My recommendation: condense the content even further and avoid hybrid courses. Best regards Markus Fuchs

The DITS, as a hybrid event, was great and a lot of fun. The assignments, in particular, liven things up and help you reinforce what you’ve learned by putting it into practice. It was great that Marcus always had real-world examples for many topics, such as how things were done exactly that way at Company X or Y. I’d love to see this expanded with more practical examples, or perhaps include an exercise where participants are asked to name examples from the market of companies that took a certain approach or chose a particular strategy. I have a few suggestions for improvement: - Audio: The trainer was generally easy to hear, but there were spots in the room where the camera couldn’t pick up his remarks clearly. This results in very low audio volume during remote sessions, requiring participants to stay highly focused (which is necessary anyway, since video calls demand more attention, as does the topic itself (DITS)). One suggestion would be for the trainer to wear a lapel microphone; this would ensure consistent audio quality and make it easier for participants to stay engaged. - Data exchange for assignments: A platform where participants can complete and edit their assignments simultaneously would be helpful here—and one where the trainer can view and process them directly. Sharing data via email, screenshots, etc., is cumbersome. - Highlighting PDFs: Unfortunately, not all PDFs can be edited to allow highlighting. The case studies, for example, could not be highlighted. It would be particularly helpful in an online training course if participants could edit and save all provided documents without restriction.

Markus did a great job of explaining the material. He was always available to answer questions. The slides might not have been correct at all times, but Markus always corrected them quickly, and after that they were easy to understand.

I felt that the course’s goal—to provide a comprehensive overview of ITIL terminology—was achieved. The instructor presented the material well and in an easy-to-understand way, and memorable examples (cows in a meadow!) helped clarify the connections. Sometimes it was just too much and too abstract. In any case, I really liked working with the workbook. When I take notes myself and complete sketches, I learn more than I do by just passively looking at PowerPoint slides.

I have to say that the new ITIL Practitioner training is really good. Good because it offers truly excellent new content. And I say that as an ITIL Expert. You learn how to implement service management. It’s not just a deeper dive into the Foundation course—it’s an entirely new training program. That’s what I’d hoped for, but I wasn’t entirely sure. Now I can say—the exam is tough, but the training is truly valuable. Serview’s quality is, as always, top-notch. The instructor was excellent, the location and hotel were excellent, the course materials were excellent, and the atmosphere was excellent—as I said, the exam is a minor hurdle. Thanks to the entire Serview team.

The training was in English, but it was easy to understand for a non-native speaker since the trainer didn’t use much specialized vocabulary beyond the ITIL terms themselves. An excellent trainer, very resourceful and knowledgeable. One key point: not all companies apply the same understanding and principles of ITIL, so it would be helpful to have an introduction explaining the basics of ITIL terminology—such as processes, owners, and functions. This would help break the ice and make participants more familiar with ITIL abbreviations; it would also be helpful to have more flashcards and quiz questions. All of this helps with retention. This was the first time I attended a training course that didn’t use any electronic aids, and I was pleasantly surprised. The instructor did a good job of conveying the rather large amount of information. The examples given also helped with understanding. The only thing was that the introductions to the various topics were a bit brief. The venue at the Cologne hotel was good. Another positive aspect was the group size, and I particularly liked the training materials. All in all, a good training session. Thank you very much!

I really appreciated the interactive approach using a flip chart and workbook, as it helps focus attention on the material more effectively than is the case with PowerPoint presentations. Hello, I thought the training was excellent. The trainer was very knowledgeable, both in terms of subject matter and teaching methods. His mnemonic devices were very memorable, and he was able to explain all the topics very clearly and comprehensively. I also found the training’s pedagogical approach to be very effective. Instead of relying on pre-filled PowerPoint slides, we had to work through the diagrams and their content using a workbook, which greatly enhanced the learning experience (at least for me). The amount of content covered in a two-day seminar was very extensive—almost too extensive. The trainer did a very good job under these challenging conditions. His presentations and lectures were very engaging, always well-paced, and delivered in an interesting way. The trainer’s performance was consistently positive. The venue, on the other hand, was not well chosen. The room was far too small. The service during breaks could also have been more proactive.

I appreciated the large number of examples he used to make the topics clearer and ultimately to help the seminar participants better understand the material. I deducted one point from my rating because, in my opinion, it would be better to cover the material over 4 days instead of 3. That would give the participants more opportunity to internalize the topics.

The instructor covered everything perfectly—very knowledgeable on all topics, yet laid-back - plenty of time for all concerns and topics We were well prepared for the exam and received good tips on how to prepare for it optimally. The facilities and food were perfectly fine. If there’s anything to criticize, it was the unripe peaches in the fruit bowl. Lunch at the Italian restaurant was excellent.

In short: I was extremely satisfied. With only 5 participants, the course was very small and very good. We were able to ask questions and actually got them answered. No PowerPoint—just a flipchart—so it wasn’t tedious. Mr. Wagner came across as very confident and knew a good answer to every question. The facilities and meals were also very good. That’s why I would definitely take my next training courses with Serview. I’ve also shared this feedback internally with our company’s training department. Normally, I can always find something that could be improved. But in this case, it’s hard for me to think of anything. Maybe instead of Mars bars, I’d really appreciate a basket of fruit. But those are just details… ;-)

I really enjoyed the seminar—especially the workbook exercises and the group activities that went along with them. Marcus was a fantastic instructor; he always took the time to answer our questions and was able to explain everything clearly, backing it up with examples! I usually have trouble staying focused during seminars—my mind tends to wander—but that wasn’t the case here. Time really flew by, and I had a lot of fun learning. Plus, because we were actively participating, my mind couldn’t wander :D Many thanks to Serview and especially to Marcus!!!
