Michael Baumann delivered the Prince2 7 Compact Course exceptionally well through an excellent blend of structure, practical relevance, and sound methodology. The clear organization makes the course material easy to follow, and each section builds logically on the previous one. The practical examples are particularly compelling; they make complex principles tangible and facilitate their application to real-world projects. The course content is concise and focused on the essentials, without neglecting important details. The only minor criticism concerns the time allocation for the practical case studies in the Practitioner module, as each exercise took longer than planned. In summary, it was a very effective intensive course that offers structure, practical relevance, and a clear mental model. It’s ideal for working confidently and competently with PRINCE2 while ensuring that what you’ve learned is firmly retained.

The PRINCE2 Compact training course provided a clear and structured overview of the method. The content was presented in an easy-to-understand manner, and the balance between theory and practical examples was well-adjusted overall. While hybrid training is generally a bit challenging, it was handled quite well in this case. For the Practitioner exam, even more specific preparation for typical question formats and exam requirements would have been helpful. Overall, this was a solid training course that lays a good foundation for applying PRINCE2.

Overall, the training was very interesting and technically sound. I’d especially like to highlight the trainer, who did an excellent job of mastering the major challenge of a hybrid training session—that is, one with both in-person and online participants. He knew how to engage both groups and convey the material clearly using appropriate examples. Personally, I would have preferred a little less lecture-style instruction to allow for even more interactive elements and discussion during the training. However, this is less a reflection on the trainer himself and more a result of the structure of the training and exam format. Overall, it was a very good and informative experience that I can highly recommend.

I'm familiar with these training courses from my previous employer. What's especially great is that you can organize your own schedule and go over the material as many times as you like. Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to the knowledge check—maybe that could be included as well. This training, combined with the book “Scrum—Everything You Need to Know,” gives you everything you need to prepare for the exams and to refer back to from time to time in your job—whether to reaffirm what you know or to fill in any gaps in your knowledge. It’s also good value for the money.

Michael Baumann, with whom I’ve now had the pleasure of taking my second (online) course—following my completion of the Scrum Master + PO training—is exceptionally skilled at conveying the extensive material in a focused manner, ensuring that nothing stands in the way of successfully passing the exam. He consistently incorporates his own experiences and concrete examples into his teaching to prevent the lessons—which are inevitably mostly lecture-based—from becoming too dry. As an online participant, you’re actively engaged and don’t feel any loss in quality compared to in-person participation. Even after the course ended, Michael Baumann offered to be available via email should any further questions arise. My conclusion is: an interesting and informative training course with exceptionally effective knowledge transfer led by an excellent trainer. I’d choose Serview again in a heartbeat—and Michael Baumann, any day.

Please forward my request to PeopleCert: In the digital age, post-pandemic, it makes no sense that course materials are made available to in-person participants only in printed form. - Regardless of where I’m participating from, I prefer to edit, add to, and comment on documents digitally. - Furthermore, in the hybrid course, there were discrepancies between the online and printed versions. - The black-and-white print also makes it impossible to recognize color codes in slides. Michael pointed out during the course that people who had registered for the certification would also receive the PDF documents. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for me, so I’ll probably have to scan the black-and-white documents.... A bit old-school, isn’t it? Regardless, the content, instructor, and location were excellent—I’d almost recommend it!

The training provided a very good overview of the topic of project management, specifically the PRINCE2 processes. Unfortunately, this “crash course” was limited to just one day. The trainer was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always open to questions. My goal was to learn how projects are (supposed to be) carried out in our company. And this goal was achieved almost 100%. Doing without PowerPoint and a projector entirely was unusual at first. However, this allowed the training to proceed at a very comfortable pace. I highly recommend this training course. The instructor was fantastic and brought dry theory to life. This included the pace of his delivery, the use of familiar examples from everyday and professional life to illustrate concepts, and the well-designed slides. The slides were structured to match the workbook, making it easy to follow the material. Nevertheless, they were always displayed long enough to allow participants to take screenshots if needed. I was able to take away a great deal of value for both my professional life and my personal daily routine. Just one day after the training, I found myself adopting a more relaxed attitude. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the seminar. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the way the material was presented using the workbook was excellent. It never gets boring, and working through the material on my own makes it easier to absorb the content. Michael explained everything clearly and comprehensively and addressed all our questions. I’m deducting one point because the time management got a bit out of hand, so not all the material could be covered in the two days. We did end up extending the seminar a bit, but of course it’s a little harder to stay focused at that point. We also received the materials via email and were given the opportunity to ask questions—but I would have preferred to have that opportunity on the third day as well, so I could have had the rest of the material covered in person. All in all, it was very good, and I would recommend Serview and take another seminar there.

The compact online training course was really good. The registration and administration team was very helpful and friendly throughout the training. The training syllabus was tailored to fit the short duration of the course but was very comprehensive and covered all aspects of the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner topics. The trainer, Mr. Baumann, was very competent, informative, patient, and kind in answering all our questions during and after the sessions. With his calm demeanor, he made the training go very easily and smoothly. I only encountered a technical issue with the “GoTraining” app, which wasn’t working properly; this cost me time and caused a lot of unnecessary stress during my first few days of the training, and it also limited my active participation—especially since I couldn’t activate the screen-sharing feature during the case study exercise. Aside from this technical issue, I enjoyed the learning experience and would highly recommend it.

The course contains a wealth of valuable and well-presented content that goes beyond the exam requirements. This helps instill the SCRUM mindset in the participants. I think that’s great.    The additional content takes up a good portion of the time. As a result, the actual exam preparation might be a bit neglected in some areas. Perhaps this should be mentioned in the course description. Given the current need for an online format, I would like to see a few interactive sections for participants, perhaps in groups.   It wasn’t boring at any point, but perhaps you could find ways to let participants experience agility more firsthand, even in the online format. Unfortunately, working through the workbook using the basic features of Adobe Reader is hardly feasible, and the capabilities of the GoTo digital platform aren’t really being utilized (or perhaps they aren’t sufficient?). The omission of group exercises naturally detracts from the seminar, and there is no discussion among the participants or with the instructor. Therefore, it would be desirable to adapt the seminar for delivery as a “virtual classroom.”

From beginner to Prince2 Practitioner in just 5 days! The course is tightly structured in terms of content but still leaves room for individual questions along the way. The instructor was highly effective in both methodology and teaching style, successfully conveying the key aspects of PRINCE2 in a short amount of time. Of particular note is the color-coding scheme for the processes chosen by the instructor, which guided participants throughout the entire course and contributed significantly to their understanding and learning success. The provided handouts and materials are of high quality and ensure lasting learning outcomes that extend beyond the actual exams. Despite the course’s outstanding quality, a fair amount of personal commitment is required to successfully complete the course in such a short time. Anyone who feels unsure should consider postponing the exam and taking it online at a later date. One possible improvement would be a brief, 1- to 2-page preparatory packet that helps participants get acquainted with the course and its content before it begins.

The Course took place in Düsseldorf in mid-October 2019. # The venue at the SkyTower Düsseldorf was perfectly organized; great location, excellent service, and pleasant, well-designed facilities # The trainer, Michael Baumann, is an excellent instructor who conveys knowledge in a very pleasant, unobtrusive, and friendly manner # The scope of the material was extremely complex; combining PRINCE2 and Agile in parallel as Foundation and Practitioner courses—without any prior exposure to the subject matter—wasn’t the best choice I could have made in hindsight. Nevertheless, Michael Baumann conveyed the topics very effectively to the participants, often drawing on his own experience, which resulted in an excellent translation of the theoretical material into practical application. My recommendation to potential participants would be to first complete the PRINCE2 approach as Foundation and Practitioner and then—after a little time has passed—build the Agile approach on top of that. The content was logically structured, well-prepared, and presented in an understandable way. More real-world examples and exercises would make it easier to understand. To improve the course, I would like to see, for example, actual backlog items, epics, user stories, sprint backlog items, and definitions of “Done” or “Ready” from real projects; this would make the material much easier to grasp. The training materials and exam preparation should be revised again; obvious errors have apparently been in the materials for quite some time. In my opinion, another improvement would be to provide multi-colored writing materials to make filling out the exam papers clearer. Alternatively, it would be helpful to mention during registration or in the invitation that colored pens or highlighters would be beneficial. Since the exam is also administered in English, it would be desirable to address this more thoroughly. Perhaps it would also be possible for Serview itself to offer the exam in German.

Excellent training led by a highly professional, experienced instructor. Efficient preparation for certification. Good teaching methods, good course materials, good meals, and a good group size. Suggestions for improvement: 1: Hand out colored pens 2. Develop a case scenario in which the various artifacts can be presented more clearly and concretely. In particular, the product backlog is practically impossible to visualize if you don’t have relevant experience. I found this difficult despite asking many questions during the training and doing intensive follow-up work. Consequently, this was also my weakest area in the Product Owner certification exam (though I still passed both exams on the first try). Thanks again to Michael!

The format of the Practitioner course is very well-designed. It really helped me internalize and understand the topics, so that I now feel capable of applying P2 in practice. However, the exam—or rather, the exam questions—are so challenging that you wouldn’t have passed without additional studying or pulling all-nighters. Perhaps the exam questions should be made available in advance so that participants don’t have this added burden during the three days of the course.

I thought it was a bit too much material for two days, especially with the exam right after. Of course, the focus was on the basics and background knowledge. A little more hands-on practice or interactive activities certainly wouldn't hurt—it would really spice up the training. I really liked the small group size and the flexible schedule.
