The training was totally worth it. Mr. Imm did an excellent job of building on the previous training session and presenting the topics. The practical applications he developed to complement the theoretical content were also very clear and made everything even easier to understand. Mr. Imm consistently addressed the participants’ needs and took a solution-oriented approach. Bottom line: The training was worthwhile, a great trainer, and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you. Feedback to the organizers: As a participant, I wasn’t aware that this was a hybrid event. I had expected to meet more participants in person (I was the only one there) so I could, among other things, discuss the training and expand my network. That’s only possible to a very limited extent in a hybrid event (or even online). So I was somewhat disappointed. Furthermore, I don’t think it’s right that the training materials aren’t made available digitally for in-person participants—I’m happy to receive them in paper form for the on-site event, but for studying later, please make them available digitally as well.Great Class, Great Instructor, Great Service April 6, 2022

About the location: The Serview building is an attractive, modern facility. Absolutely top-notch—in addition to the massage chairs, the Xbox, etc., there’s a constant supply of refreshments such as coffee, gummy bears, and pizza slices. About the trainer: A friendly, professional trainer who addresses the participants’ topics and incorporates them into examples. About the training: (only downside) The course content seemed unstructured at first, making it difficult to see the connections. This didn’t change until toward the end of the first day of training, when the connections were explicitly addressed again. After that, it became clear why it had seemed so unstructured at the beginning. All in all, a very solid 4 out of 5 stars.

You can tell that Mr. Imm is passionate about the subject and knows it inside and out, so we had all our questions answered on every topic during the course. The material was illustrated using simple, practical examples. The training materials provided are well-organized and contain all the information needed for certification. I’ve found working with the workbook to be very effective with other providers as well, since it helps the content stick better. The conference hotel was fine, but not outstanding.

First of all, the food and drinks were great. There were plenty of opportunities for a break from the training. Unfortunately, there was a change in instructors during the course. The first instructor explained the material well and was a good public speaker. Unfortunately, the flip charts were sometimes too small for the room and therefore very hard to read. Due to the change in instructors, there were some contradictory statements during my hands-on day. The hands-on day, in particular, provided a much better insight into the subject matter, since it covered not only the “what” but also the “how.” I would recommend this hands-on day to every participant in the Foundation course.

In my opinion, the practice questions and answers could have been covered in a bit more detail. I would not schedule the core CS process for the last day of training and the exam. In my view, it was given too little time and should have been covered earlier. The organization of the training and the course content were excellent. The instructor did a great job of conveying the material and providing practical examples. I would have liked the presentation pace to be a bit faster overall. As a result, there wasn’t always enough time to go over questions and prepare for the exam. Taking notes on all the material took some getting used to at first, but ultimately proved to be a good way to better retain the information. The training was led by two instructors: Ms. Handwerk and Mr. Imm. The training was quite challenging, but it was conducted very competently, and the numerous examples clearly illustrated the PRINCE 2 methodology. Ms. Handwerk and Mr. Imm answered every question in detail and in an easy-to-understand manner, and they also shared a few valuable tips and tricks for the exam. We were actively engaged in the training and quickly developed a feel for PRINCE 2. The resources and books provided were, of course, very helpful. PRINCE2 provides a solid standard for project management and establishes clear structures regarding responsibilities, management products, and tools, as well as how these relate to a project’s processes. Despite its generic approach, PRINCE2 facilitates the practical application of its concepts by clearly defining the processes and phases. Although the Foundation course covers the material comprehensively, it does so only superficially. You gain a general overview of the phases and processes of PRINCE2, as well as the associated responsibilities and management products; however, these topics are not explained in detail or worked through using case studies until the Practitioner course. Dear Serview Team, From October 22, 2012, to October 24, 2012, I participated in a Prince2 training course at Serview’s offices in Bad Homburg. A little about my background: with absolutely no prior project management experience, I worked as a sub-project manager for communications management on an IT project in Switzerland in 2011. I found the Prince2 training course—which I completed now, roughly a year after my first PM experience—to be excellent, and not just because I passed it: I really enjoyed it because Mr. Imm effectively illustrated the many theoretical principles using practical examples. I also felt that when he asked, “Any questions?” I could address my questions to him without hesitation. Even during the breaks and lunch breaks, I took the time to ask him a few detailed questions, all of which he answered patiently and thoroughly. It appeals to various learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), and the discussions allow participants to deepen their understanding at any time. Overall, the seminar was very interesting and informative. As was already noted in the immediate feedback, time was very limited. In some cases, topics had to be covered very briefly; otherwise, we would have had to cut back even more on other topics. A general suggestion from the seminar participants was to hold the seminar over 2.5 days (2 days of seminar, 1 day of exam) or 3 shorter days to allow enough time for discussions and in-depth exploration. I really enjoyed the two days at Serview. The seminar was very interesting and informative. Although two days seemed like a very tight and compact schedule for the PRINCE2 Foundation seminar, the content was presented and conveyed very well. I never felt overwhelmed. During the breaks, Serview’s service left nothing to be desired, whether it was drinks, snacks, or questions about the course material.Wonderful training session September 16, 2012

The ITIL V3 seminar has been very valuable to me. Of course, I’m delighted that I also passed the exam successfully. Mr. Oliver Imm contributed greatly to the success of the course with his fresh and easy-to-understand style. He was always open to questions and was able to answer them competently and precisely every time. I was particularly impressed by his expertise and his presentation style, which he was able to deliver without any visual aids. So it wasn’t just reading from a prepared presentation, but rather a tailored training session for a group of very diverse participants. Mr. Oliver Imm mastered this in an impressive way. Even though he has likely taught these courses several times before, I never had the feeling that he was just going through the motions as part of a routine. My expectations for this training course and the associated exam were relatively low. I had braced myself for a lot of “dry” theory and really just wanted to pass the exam. Fortunately, those “expectations” weren’t met. The trainer (Mr. Imm) did an excellent job of presenting the theory in a concrete and, above all, understandable way. I have to say, these three days were time very well spent, especially since we as a company want to make greater use of ITIL processes, and a basic understanding is absolutely essential. I myself have been working in IT for over 15 years, much of that time as a project manager, and have gotten to know many companies. I was amazed to discover that much of what I had developed as “best practice” over the years is an integral part of ITIL and was reflected in the seminar. The trainer’s preparation for the exam was excellent. Of course, a minimum willingness to learn on my part was necessary. However, this amounted to only about 2 hours on the evening before the exam, which clearly shows me that understanding the subject matter is very important for passing the exam. In this regard, I would like to provide absolutely positive feedback on the 3-day training course and thank the trainer, Mr. Imm, in particular.I don't see any need for improvement September 12, 2012
