Radu kept the training very engaging, actively involved the participants, and responded very well to their needs and questions. We had actually planned an in-person training session but then switched to an online format. My impression was that there was too much content for a two-day online training session. The pace at which we covered the topics was appropriate at the beginning, but on the second day, it became clear that we were running out of time. Overall, the content was excellent and the trainer was very good, but for an online training session, it might be better to spread the content over three days. I’m not sure if we would have managed it better in terms of time management during an in-person training session.

ITIL is usually extremely dry—or at least not exactly a thrilling read. But Radu turned it into an experience. The three days were very informative and, above all, never boring. That may also have been due to the cohesive group, both in-person and online. But Radu played the biggest part in the success. After my ITIL V4 CDS training with Radu, I was hoping he would lead the training this time as well—and my expectations were fully met. As usual, the topics were presented very well. His lively and laid-back manner kept me engaged throughout, despite the large amount of course material. The digressions into psychology were particularly helpful and lighthearted. Questions were always addressed and answered in a focused manner. I would book the exam in this format again in a heartbeat. As in previous training sessions, several participants requested a full-color workbook—which, of course, is not Radu’s responsibility.

Booking: hassle-free; the website is well-organized; communication with the sales team was just right (not too much, not too little) Arrival: went smoothly, even late on Sunday evening. Key pickup with security was hassle-free and secure (ID check) Accommodations: The room is quite simple but perfectly adequate and clean (an additional outlet at the desk for using a laptop might be handy) Catering: Very good selection of snacks and drinks. Main meals were excellent for the setting—tasty and filling Seminar: The study group was great and had fantastic chemistry. That was also thanks to Radu’s approach. Feedback was always welcome, and questions were addressed. That’s what makes learning fun! The only real point of criticism is the course materials: The digital slides are in color—in some cases too colorful for my personal taste—especially since the meaning of the colors isn’t always clear. The printed materials are in grayscale. This often slows things down and causes confusion. On top of that, some of the illustrations seem quite cluttered, and there are differences between the digital and printed versions. This is likely due to different formats, but it doesn’t really help with readability. If this could be improved, that would be ideal. The text is easy to read, and the wording and formatting are good. Thank you very much for the “end-to-end” experience!

An in-person training session stands or falls on the trainer. Here, everything was wonderful. The trainer knew how to engage the participants and encourage them to get involved—whether through his lively gestures or by taking on different roles up front at the board. It was truly captivating and never boring. The training was conducted in hybrid mode, meaning some participants were on-site while others joined online—and that, too, worked wonderfully without any technical difficulties. As a result, the online participants always felt like they were part of the full group. The use of the digital whiteboard was absolutely impressive, as were the training materials provided. In my opinion, the workbook concept was a complete success. I feel absolutely confident about successfully passing the training exam and am already looking forward to the test date.

Suggestion for improvement: Print the manual in color. The trainer’s flipchart included color diagrams -> the shapes had to be colored in by hand. Furthermore, the diagrams themselves are rather confusing. Without the trainer’s detailed explanations, they would be almost useless.

Covering all MPT modules in just one week—especially during the transition from ITIL 3 to ITIL 4—is a challenging task, as it requires conveying the entire subject matter clearly and effectively in just five days. Radu structured the course very well and made it highly informative—there was never a dull moment, and open interaction kept the group engaged every day. For the key topics, Radu sought out—and found—exactly the right examples drawn from current economic trends. This made many topics more vivid than one might expect from theory alone, and an “aha” moment quickly set in. The training format and Radu’s delivery were also well-organized and presented in a “relaxed” manner, ensuring that it was always “entertaining.” The integration of ITIL 4 with other methods and approaches, such as DevOps or SCRUM, provided a strong connection to the core principles and practices, and Radu was able to clearly illustrate the linkages and added value in a very effective way. Exchanging ideas with other participants from completely different IT backgrounds brought not only new insights but also sparked interesting discussions. The hotel in Stuttgart was exceptionally well-organized; in particular, the service surrounding the event, as well as the food, were of a very high standard.

Serview GmbH, as the organizer, provides a truly ideal setting for this course. The location is easy to reach, and meals are always provided. This allows participants to devote themselves fully to the subject matter. The instructor was enthusiastic, very dedicated, and open-minded. His appropriate sense of humor and regular engagement with the participants repeatedly brought energy to the otherwise “dull” set of slides. Whether in person or remotely—I think everyone was able to learn a lot (including from one another) over the three days. Although the seminar’s content was tightly scheduled, it all made perfect sense. Afterwards and throughout the course, the trainer would frequently pose spontaneously devised questions to us participants to deepen our understanding and ensure we were well-prepared for the accompanying exam. A complete success! One comment: It would be great if, in the future, the handout for the DevOps Leadership Seminar were structured exactly like the workbook for the DevOps Fundamentals training. In general, I personally would prefer a printout—though these days that’s probably not exactly state-of-the-art anymore ;-)
