Even though the Prince2 Agile Practitioner advanced seminar includes hands-on exercises, I would have liked to see practical examples used to illustrate the theory. The workbook would be easier to follow if it were printed in color, and using different colored pens for note-taking would also be helpful so that, in the end, all the materials are as well-organized as they were presented on the instructor’s slides. Alternatively, the slides could be made available in PDF format after the training is completed.

I really enjoyed the training. Thomas’s presentation style was very engaging, and I was able to follow along easily. The structure and the scheduled breaks were communicated from the start, so it was easy to plan accordingly. In terms of content, the first day’s session on Scrum served as a good review for me, and on the second day, we covered new topics like Kanban and SAFe, which gave me a good overview of those concepts. The only thing: I think when it comes to Design Thinking, it really helps to try out this technique hands-on with an example—which is, of course, difficult in an online workshop. I also found the course materials for filling out and taking notes to be very helpful. All in all, I’m very satisfied and would like to thank you for the training!

Thomas gave an excellent introductory training session on Agile Foundations! The presentation was professional, yet relaxed and humorous. The mix of lecture and interaction—including the workbook to fill out—was just right. The slides were also very professional yet casual, and they were perfectly aligned with the workbook. The topics of Design Thinking and Kanban were perhaps a bit heavy on buzzwords, which is certainly due in part to the abstract nature of the subjects, but it might have been helpful to include an accompanying example for each, such as how they’re applied in a specific project. As a beginner and newcomer to Agile and Scrum, I felt really comfortable with the trainer and the course content, and they did a great job of meeting my needs every step of the way. The approach—which combines listening, active participation and asking questions, and a semi-completed worksheet that you fill out on the spot—adds tremendous value. It was a bit of a bummer for me as a left-hander, though, because the workbook is quite thick, so I often had trouble writing. I’ll definitely attend another training session there.

It would be helpful to survey participants in advance about their level of experience and send out the materials beforehand so they can prepare for the content in advance The technical setup in the room for hybrid seminars absolutely needs to be improved! Audio, Wi-Fi stability, and a swivel camera. Make the workbook available either as an option or as a standard feature in PDF and/or hard copy format.

The three-day event, which I attended online, was held in a hybrid setting—meaning there were also in-person participants. What I initially found a bit strange turned out to be very good—the technology is great (according to the instructor, there are 60 microphones installed in the room, so you can hear everything that’s said very clearly) and the instructor is excellent at engaging both “sides” and consistently initiating discussions with everyone. The training content is very well organized, and the time slots fit perfectly with the assigned workload. Thomas Marenich is a pro; he knows his subject matter and guides participants confidently through the material, while also responding excellently to the needs of individual participants.

My initial skepticism about online seminars quickly faded. The instructor presented the material in a very tailored and calm manner. In my opinion, an online seminar even has the advantage that I can jot down my own notes and additional explanations in the handout, rather than just the basic content and keywords. The handouts presented and filled out by the trainer could be easily saved as screenshots, and now I can summarize everything well. That wouldn’t have been possible in an in-person training session (without pre-filled handouts). This allowed me to always follow the trainer’s words closely without being distracted by note-taking or the pressure to “keep up with everything.”

The trainer was very knowledgeable, both in terms of content and—above all—as an instructor; he confidently guided us through a hybrid event, keeping an eye on and effectively managing both the in-person group and the online participants alike. This created a very pleasant and effective learning atmosphere, without skimping on humor. The venue and the refreshments during breaks were excellent. The only issue was the parking situation at the venue and in the immediate vicinity—you’ll need to arrive early. Serview’s workbook method is great, and it’s very effective for learning. The topic is challenging, and the three-day training course felt like a crash course: More time would have been better. Nevertheless, Thomas left plenty of room for internal discussions and presented the topic—which was at times quite dry—very well and in an engaging way. We were a very homogeneous group; all participants were from the same department, but that didn’t make it easy to manage. Still, in the end, all of our colleagues took a lot away from the experience. I found the training to be very professionally structured. It was emphasized that they try to cater to all learning styles (through the trainer’s presentations, graphics for visual learners, handouts, etc.). I can confirm this. Personally, I learn very well through visual elements and handwritten notes, so I always took notes on paper during the online/live training. I feel well prepared for the exam, as we were provided with plenty of materials and the trainer is even available to answer questions. Personally, I generally find long learning intervals—like the full three days here—difficult and not ideal, since shorter intervals allow more time to let what you’ve learned sink in. However, the three days went by faster than expected and weren’t as exhausting as I’d thought. This is partly due to the structured format of the training (the overarching theme helped me better understand the connections), but the trainer in particular played a key role: He was always motivated and personable, and the lectures were by no means monotonous—instead, his skillful delivery made it easy for me to follow along. In addition, he frequently drew on real-world examples and practical applications, which further reinforced my understanding. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the training and can highly recommend it.

Overall, I enjoyed the training, and I was very satisfied with the instructor, the organization, and the course materials. However, I would have liked to see more real-world examples instead of mostly practice exercises designed to prepare for the exam. One pedagogical improvement I’d like to see is asking the audience questions about topics that are challenging and require critical thinking, rather than fishing for (supposedly) obvious answers to simple questions. The engagement this creates is superficial; people wait until someone takes pity and says something everyone already knows so the session can move on, running a greater risk of embarrassing themselves with a trivial answer. It’s better to ask difficult questions that make everyone think—and to which people can answer honestly, even if they’re not sure of the answer, without feeling ashamed.

Our instructor addressed every question and always checked to make sure our questions had been answered. The course materials were very helpful, and the diagrams were very easy to remember. I took the exam a few days after the course and passed :-) I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my instructor.

I took the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner courses right one after the other—that is, over five consecutive days. The instructor, Thomas M., was great and addressed every question we had. I definitely recommend him! He was very knowledgeable about PRINCE2 and was able to answer (almost) all questions right away. A very good instructor! In terms of content, I found the training to be more theoretical in nature; I felt it lacked practical applicability and more real-world examples. I learned a lot of great theories, but I’m still very unsure about how I can or should apply them in my professional life. The “material” is very extensive and demanding in terms of content, so this training isn’t something you can just do on the side… while also handling work emails and such! You have to focus 100%, otherwise you’ll quickly lose track. The course materials are very well organized, as is the accompanying book. But there’s a tremendous amount to memorize. I’m not a fan of memorization. I’m currently wondering whether practically all of this can be put into practice. Fundamentally, there are certainly many good ideas, but whether I can actually implement or apply them in my normal, real-world professional life is questionable. Especially if you don’t work at an agile, young startup, but rather at a traditional, established company with a long history and many employees who’ve been there for a very long time. In terms of content, videos and more practical examples would certainly have helped with understanding. I also find the material too much to cover in such a short time. You have one year to take the exams (starting from the course), but it’s recommended that you take them soon after the course, before your knowledge starts to fade. Many thanks to the instructor, Thomas M., who did an excellent job of conveying the content (which I found very theoretical and dry). Compared to other continuing education courses I’ve taken, I found this one to be very comprehensive, challenging, and difficult.

A very pleasant instructor with a good course plan that also prepares you well for the exam. The first morning could be a little more fast-paced, so you'd have more time toward the end ;) But that's just a minor detail.
