Who is PeopleCert?

PeopleCert is a leading global certification organization that offers exams for ITIL®, PRINCE2®, Agile, DevOps, and many other frameworks and methodologies.

How do I register for a PeopleCert exam?

After booking a training course with SERVIEW, you will receive an exam voucher from us containing all the necessary information about your PeopleCert exam.

Who is your primary point of contact for questions about PeopleCert exams?

As SERVIEW, we are, of course, happy to serve as your first point of contact for any questions regarding the exam. Please note, however, that the exam is provided and administered by PeopleCert. We therefore have no influence over PeopleCert’s statements or services. If you encounter any issues during the exam, we recommend that you contact PeopleCert directly to receive assistance as quickly as possible.

What types of exams are there?

  • Web-Based Online Proctoring (OP): You can take the exam online from any location while a supervisor monitors the exam.

What are the technical requirements for online exams?

For online proctoring, you'll need:

  • A computer running Windows® 11 or Windows® 10 (Windows 10S and Windows 11S are not supported).
  • A dual-core 2.4 GHz processor or faster with at least 4 GB of RAM.
  • An active broadband Internet connection with a speed of at least 4 Mbit/s.
  • A monitor with a resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels.
  • Keyboard and mouse or another pointing device (keyboard set to English characters).
  • A webcam (built-in or external) that can rotate 360 degrees.
  • Speakers and microphones (headsets are permitted only during the onboarding process).

Please note that the exam platform is accessible via a web browser and does not require the installation of any additional software.

How do I set up my exam room?

Make sure that:

  • You are in a private, quiet room without see-through walls.
  • You will be alone in the room throughout the entire exam.
  • The walls and desk are free of unauthorized items.
  • No other screens are visible except the one used for the exam.
  • Make sure there is adequate lighting without it shining directly into the webcam.

What identification documents do I need?

On the day of the exam, you must present a valid, government-issued photo ID that matches the information you provided during registration. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to, an ID card, passport, or driver's license. Electronic IDs are not accepted.

Can I reschedule or cancel the exam?

Yes, exams can be rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. A fee will be charged if the rescheduling is made less than 48 hours in advance.

What happens if I don't pass the exam?

We are happy to offer you exam insurance as an option when you book the training. 

How long will it take to receive my test results?

Most online exam results are available immediately after the exam. You will receive the official certificate by email within 2–5 business days.

In which languages are the exams available?

Exams are offered in several languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish. Availability depends on the specific certification program.

Are the exams accessible?

Yes, PeopleCert offers accommodations for individuals with special needs. Please contact us at SERVIEW well in advance so that we can forward your requirements to PeopleCert.

What's the best way to prepare for the exam?

How much does a PeopleCert exam cost?

Costs vary depending on the certification and type of exam. You can find detailed information in your personalized quote from SERVIEW.

Where can I find my certificate after the exam?

Your certificate will be available on the PeopleCert portal once you have passed the exam. You can download it digitally or, if you wish, order a printed version (for a fee).

How long is my certificate valid?

Many certifications, such as ITIL® and PRINCE2®, do not have expiration dates. Nevertheless, we recommend staying up to date through regular continuing education and new certifications at SERVIEW.

Preparation: 24 hours before the exam

  • Read the guidelines at
    . Read the official“Web-Based Online Proctored Exams—Candidate Guidelines”carefully to ensure you are fully prepared for the exam.
  • Run the system compatibility check at
    . You must run a system compatibility check before taking the exam. 

    Notes on the compatibility check:

    • Use the same computer and the same setup (camera, headset, monitor, etc.) that you will use on the day of the exam.
    • Take the practice test in the room where you will be taking the exam.
    • Enable only one screen (if you are using an external monitor, it must be set as the primary screen).
    • Remove or disable all other screens.
    • The check takes about 5 minutes and is required. Repeat the check about 2 hours before your exam to account for any changes caused by system updates.
  • Connection to the Web-Based Exam Driver
    Connect to the Web-Based Exam Driver at least 24 hours before your exam to identify and resolve any technical issues early on.
  • Support in Case of Problems
    If you encounter any problems during the compatibility check or on the day of the exam, the PeopleCert technical support team is available 24/7 .

What do I need to keep in mind on exam day?

What should I do two hours before the exam?

  • Log in to the Web-Based Exam Driver using your login credentials.
  • Run the system compatibility check again to ensure that no changes to your system (such as OS updates) are affecting the check.

What happens after the compatibility check is successful?

  • Once the check is complete, follow the instructions on the screen:
  • Please accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • Read the exam instructions.
  • Please confirm that you have read and accepted the exam rules.
  • Scan your ID (take a photo with your webcam or upload an image).
  • Connect with your proctor by clicking "Start now."

What does the proctor do during the exam?

  • The proctor will handle your ID verification and onboarding, including security checks.
  • During the exam, the proctor remains online in the background and is available to answer questions.
  • You must keep your microphone turned on throughout the entire exam.
  • If the connection is lost during the exam, the proctor will pause the timer until the connection is restored.
  • Security checks can be repeated during the exam without affecting the exam's duration.

Is the exam session secure?

  • Yes, the exam session will be recorded and stored in accordance with PeopleCert's privacy policy. For more information about security checks, please read the Candidate Guidelines carefully.
