Beware of Illegal ITIL® and PRINCE2® Training Courses

Graphic: "Caution: Trap" Sign

Recently, there has been an increase in ITIL® and PRINCE2® training courses offered on platforms such as Udemy or by providers such as D+J Academy. We would like to expressly point out that many of these offerings are illegal.

These providers or platforms are not officially accredited training partners of PeopleCert. This means:

  • The training sessions offered are not permitted.
  • It is not possible to take the mandatory ITIL® and PRINCE2® exams through these providers.
  • Buyers and sellers of such offerings are in violation of trademark law because they use protected terms such as ITIL® and PRINCE2® without the necessary license. This may result in legal consequences.

A training course offered for €69, for example, is on the same level—both legally and in terms of quality—as a so-called Louis Vuitton bag you might buy on the beach.

What should you look for?
To ensure that you receive high-quality, officially recognized training, always book your ITIL® and PRINCE2® courses with an accredited training partner.

You can find an official list of accredited training organizations (ATO) directly on the PeopleCert website: www.peoplecert.org. Only trust providers listed there—like us. This ensures not only the highest quality but also the opportunity to take the official exams.
