Certified Agile Coach

To effectively lead people in your organization and provide them with lasting inspiration, it takes more than just theoretical knowledge. That’s why this intensive five-day Certified Agile Coach training program immerses you deeply in practical application from the very beginning. You’ll immediately embark on your journey to becoming an Agile Coach and work continuously on real-world challenges from the day-to-day operations of an agile organization.
To participate, you must hold at least one of the following certifications: Agile Foundation, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe® 5 Agilist, or ICO Scrum Foundation.

Over the course of the five training days, you’ll gain hands-on experience in how to provide targeted support to teams, remove obstacles, and confidently manage interfaces with non-agile areas. You’ll learn how to practice transformational leadership, how to engage people in change processes, and how to effectively embed agility within the organization.

Throughout the training, you will develop a solid foundation of skills in coaching, solution-focused conflict resolution, and facilitation. You will develop the ability to operate confidently and effectively in an agile environment and to provide targeted support to both teams and organizations. The focus is always on practical application in the context of agile transformations.

Together, you will address key issues that arise in day-to-day organizational life:

• What should you do if a team isn't working together effectively?
• How do you handle complex, dynamic situations?
• What specific challenges arise at the middle management level?
• How do you establish an open, constructive culture of feedback?

You won't learn these topics through theory alone, but rather through interactive exercises, group discussions, simulations, and real-world case studies that become progressively more in-depth over the course of all five days.

As the training progresses, the focus shifts to agile coaching itself. Building on the foundation you’ve established, you’ll develop your own personalized, field-tested toolkit for your daily work as an agile coach. You’ll learn how to empower people to help themselves, how to use reflection and delegation techniques in a targeted manner, and how to effectively combine empathy, strong decision-making skills, and transformational competence.

Through challenging simulations and team exercises, you’ll experience firsthand what professional agile coaching entails. You’ll internalize key hard and soft skills that will enable you to inspire organizations to adopt an agile mindset and confidently guide them through transformation processes.

As a Certified Agile Coach, you are more than just a consultant:

Upon successful completion of the five-day training course and the accompanying exam, you will earn the Certified Agile Coach certification —the culmination of your training and the foundation for your effective work as an Agile Coach in practice.

You will complete each module of the Agile Coach training with an official ICO certification exam. To participate in the training and the subsequent online exam, you must hold one of the following certifications:
