I completed the preparatory course at Serview the week before last and was very satisfied overall.
The instructors were very laid-back and created a pleasant learning atmosphere. The material was presented clearly, and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
I participated remotely, and everything worked flawlessly from a technical standpoint—both the video quality and the audio were consistently very good. At the same time, I can easily imagine that attending in person (e.g., if you’re near Frankfurt) would also be worthwhile.
I particularly appreciated the varied structure of the classes, which included many group exercises. The provided materials were comprehensive and supportive of the learning process.
Overall, this is a highly recommended course that prepares you well for the exam.

A very good course

Christian did a great job guiding us through the material. He helped us understand which topics corresponded to which learning groups. I also really appreciated that he was able to stick to the schedule very precisely, yet there was always time for questions and discussions.

Now that today marks the end of the 3-day online training course, I can only say that I am very satisfied. The training materials, slides, and sample exams are very comprehensive and presented in a clear and understandable way. They provide excellent support for my own exam preparation following the training. I feel well-informed about all organizational details and additional offerings, and I’d like to thank Alex for his wonderful leadership of this training. The presentation of the content, interaction with participants, and presentation style were exemplary and contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere during the training.

Great training

I really enjoyed the training session. Alex is a great trainer who truly puts his heart into what he does. I’ve rarely had such a dedicated and engaging trainer at a training session. He actively involves the participants in the session and keeps you engaged with his lively style. Finally, a training session that doesn’t put you to sleep! I hope Alex keeps his wonderful, open, and lively style in the future.
The only negative feedback: Personally, I think 9 a.m. is too late to start the training. I would have preferred 8 a.m., but that’s just my personal opinion.

Great Workout

The training was very good. Mr. Bremer provided us with a lot of information and created a pleasant atmosphere.
However, there was an extremely large amount of material to cover in just three days, which had to be worked through quickly due to the short timeframe, and it was sometimes a bit difficult to keep up with all of it so fast. In some places, perhaps a few more concrete examples could be included to improve understanding, and in one or two instances, a short and concise definition or translation would have helped me instead of a very detailed explanation (since there was already so much technical information to process). Otherwise, though, I really liked that there were always a few quiz questions built in to briefly apply what we’d just learned and test ourselves. We could ask questions at any time, the course materials were comprehensive and helpful, and overall, the mood and atmosphere of the training were good.

The training involved a lot of information, but the trainer kept a close eye on the time, so there was always enough time to address our specific questions. The group work—whether remote or in person—went really well, too. The trainer conveyed the training content exceptionally well, and it was simply fun to participate.

A very enjoyable and informative training session

Particularly noteworthy are the exercises and exam-related quiz questions, which are interspersed throughout the training to reinforce what has been learned through short practical sessions. Alex’s energy as a trainer also made even rather dry material interesting, as he conveys the knowledge with enthusiasm and real-life examples.

I'm very glad I chose the in-person training. Given the sheer volume of information, I probably would have had a harder time keeping up online over the course of the training. The atmosphere of the training was positive and helped me focus on the material. All the questions that came up during the training were answered. Thank you. Now it's up to me to master the material for the exam.

I had the opportunity to attend the three-day ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation course, taught by Andrea.
She managed to present the material in an engaging way and conveyed it perfectly.
She also managed the balance between online and in-person participants so well that it led to excellent interaction.
I feel very well prepared for the exam thanks to Andrea and look forward to continuing my studies in test management.

The ISTQB training was really great! The material was presented in a very clear and practical way. I especially liked that the course covered both theoretical fundamentals and many practical examples. The instructor was very knowledgeable, patiently answered all questions, and created a pleasant learning environment. I now feel well-prepared for the certification exam and have gained many new insights to apply to my day-to-day work in software testing. Overall, this is a training course I would highly recommend!

No option to take the certification exam immediately after the training

The training—including both the facilities and the instructor—was excellent. However, the fact that I couldn’t take the exam immediately afterward and that there isn’t (yet) any targeted exam preparation leads me to deduct 1 star. The additional organizational requirements for taking the exam should be communicated more clearly in advance.

Interesting and entertaining

Andrea made the training session very interesting and engaging, and she repeatedly enriched it with vivid examples from her own personal experiences. I feel well prepared for the upcoming exam.
The training took place in a very pleasant setting. A special highlight was the ice cream freezer, which was always well-stocked and “sweetened” our learning experience as temperatures soared above 30 °C.

During the training, the course material was explained clearly and thoroughly.

That was one of the best seminars I’ve ever had the chance to attend. The facilitator, Andrea, was so motivated and energetic that you just couldn’t help but listen closely. It was a great mix of content, interactive questions from the facilitator, and breaks. You could really tell that the facilitator was having a lot of fun with her work, and that energy was contagious for all the participants. Andrea explained things clearly and provided valuable tips for the exam, so we could prioritize our studying. I hope all future seminars are facilitated just like Andrea’s! Thank you so much :-)

I had already started the Foundation Level course somewhere else but dropped out because the lectures were so dry. Alexander, on the other hand, managed to make the four days fly by. He’s a very engaging speaker and draws on his diverse practical experience to bring the subject to life. I really appreciated his relaxed, respectful manner.
After the course, I passed the practice exam without studying, and then passed the actual exam on my first try after a little review. I felt really well prepared. Thanks, Alexander!

Although the ISTQB training was a Foundation-level course, it’s actually very beginner-friendly and easy to follow. The online description stated that it was intended for testers and only mentioned in passing that application developers could also benefit from it. I thought it would be more specialized. However, as an application developer, I was able to benefit greatly from it. This was also thanks to the instructor, who created a relaxed and learning-friendly atmosphere.

Effective Teaching of Content in a Hybrid Environment

The three-day event, which I attended online, was held in a hybrid setting—meaning there were also in-person participants. What I initially found a bit strange turned out to be very good—the technology is great (according to the instructor, there are 60 microphones installed in the room, so you can hear everything that’s said very clearly) and the instructor is excellent at engaging both “sides” and consistently initiating discussions with everyone.
The training content is very well organized, and the time slots fit perfectly with the assigned workload. Thomas Marenich is a pro; he knows his subject matter and guides participants confidently through the material, while also responding excellently to the needs of individual participants.
