Great! Fun training with "aha" moments

We really enjoyed the training. The day was entertaining and informative. Thanks to the way the session was structured, I had a few “aha” moments that I hadn’t expected.
Alex walked into the room with incredibly positive and motivating energy—especially for a Monday. He fit right in with our relaxed group and hardly felt like an “outsider.” He was quick to respond to questions with a solution-oriented approach and was able to explain everything very clearly. If I’d known how great the day would be, I would have gotten out of bed this morning feeling even more motivated :D
We can wholeheartedly recommend the simulation—especially with Alex.

The trainer, Björn, led the Apollo 13 simulation with great dedication and a good sense of humor. He took his role very seriously, which made the simulation come alive and feel authentic. The exercise was not only fun but also provided valuable insights into how effective service management and rapid incident resolution work in practice. An extremely knowledgeable and entertaining trainer—highly recommended!

I had the opportunity to participate in a Mars lander simulation with participants I hadn't met before, from various companies and fields. Within a short time, the team delivered a great performance and successfully completed the tasks. Great tool.

The atmosphere was positive and productive. Because there were only a few participants, everyone was able to contribute effectively.
The trainer explained the topic and the rules clearly, so that everyone could follow along and the team could improve step by step. A highly recommended in-person training session.

So well-known, and yet so misunderstood

Actually, when it comes to “Apollo 13,” everyone knows what it’s about (at least those born before 1980).
And we all knew how ITIL works, at least the strict version.
Reorganizing ourselves while dealing with a problematic situation, trying out new structures, and rethinking hierarchies—that was new and worked very well.
The trainer was also great—not just a “game master.”
The training was very informative, even beyond ITIL.
I’d gladly take part in it again anytime.

The simulation did a great job of reflecting the unique aspects of the company culture and daily work processes. As such, the insights gained were certainly very valuable and must be incorporated into existing processes (which, of course, is in line with ITIL).
The introduction to the game was a bit confusing at first, but things became clearer and more focused in the subsequent phases of the game. Generally speaking, this “development” is intentional in simulations, particularly the level of stress it creates in the various roles.
Our trainer was able to convey the material in a very relaxed and practical manner and also provided additional tips on ITIL implementation.
Definitely a valuable addition to the certification.

The simulation is entertaining and helpful. It’s also suitable for non-IT professionals. Topics such as communication, collaboration, and prioritization are explored through the simulation. Andrea did a great job guiding us through the day and inspired us with her energy. Thank you so much!

Hello,
I really enjoyed this day. The game showed how DevOps teams work together and are closely integrated.
Initial organizational issues within the team were quickly resolved, which helped maximize the outcome.
The trainer presented the topic very well. It was clear that the trainer was passionate about the subject.
We had a lot of fun during the day and learned quite a bit :-)
I highly recommend this workshop.

A fantastic seminar with wonderful learning outcomes

A fantastic simulation—entertaining and incredibly realistic. It didn’t take long before we found ourselves face-to-face with an everyday situation—one we know all too well from our jobs—on a “small” scale. Communication, collaboration, structured approaches, and handling unplanned situations—all of these were required, and it was impressive to see the learning effects from round to round and to feel HOW quickly certain actions and measures take effect.
We all quickly settled into our roles, and soon everyone was acting just as they truly are, receiving a wonderful mirror in which to reflect on themselves and their own actions.
Strengths and weaknesses also became apparent quickly—but the team managed to act as a unit, benefiting from each individual’s strengths while cushioning weaknesses and effectively addressing them under the heading “lessons learned.”
It was simply a wonderful demonstration of how important every tiny cog in the machine is for the whole system to function—not always smoothly, but ultimately successfully......
A seminar I highly recommend for both employees and management.
The learning experience was immense, and I think every single participant took something away for themselves—whether in terms of communication, teamwork, motivation, or even self-reflection in specific situations. There are countless areas where a learning curve was evident.
Thank you very much for this wonderful experience.

Since I had already played the Apollo Project with my team at my previous employer, I did it again with my new team.

The Apollo 13 simulation was my first experience with ITIL. Since I’m just a first-year IT apprentice, I was initially overwhelmed by all the technical terms. Still, I found the day very interesting. I thought the idea of using a real NASA space mission (Apollo 13) as an example was particularly creative.

Using the Apollo 13 mission as a case study for the “Critical Incident” exercise, participants were able to apply the theoretical knowledge they had learned in the context of event, incident, problem, and change management—all within a highly realistic setting.
The example, preparation, and guidance provided by the Serview instructor were very successful.
Some of the materials used during the ITIL simulation sessions and the tasks assigned to the roles in the example (RETRO, FIDO, GUIDO, SSR, etc.) were not transparent enough in some cases, causing valuable time to be lost.
The instructor’s combined roles as Mission Director, Supplier, and astronaut crew were too much to handle. There is certainly room for improvement here, especially if the people/participants available for the simulation do not fill all the roles.
The rooms, break times, and catering were excellent.

Structured communication prevents problems

The training session “The Phoenix Project—Start Your DevOps Journey” provided a great (firsthand) demonstration of how important structured communication among all stakeholders in a company is for operating efficiently and effectively. The playful approach and the immediate assessment of the effectiveness of our own decisions made the training both highly entertaining and very informative.
